Research Achievements

♦  Theoretical study on solar cells
1. The role of the work function of TCO on the properties of HIT solar cells was pointed
out and analysized quantitatively.
2. Optimized design of silicon thin film back surface field for HIT solar cells.
3. Optimized the HIT structure on p-type Si substrate.
4. Design of micro solar cell array with high voltage output.
♦  Experimental study on solar cells.
1. Deposition of all kinds of silicon thin films, including nc-Si, a-Si:H and μc-Si by PECVD.
2. Fabricaiton of high quanlity ITO films by magnetic sputtering.
3. Characterization on the surface passivation effect of polymorphous thin films on c-Si
substrates.
4. The texturing process of c-Si and multi-crystalline Si wafers.
5. Preparation of grooves on c-Si by laser ablating.
6. Electroless Plating Ni in the grooves on c-Si for buried contact solar cells.
7. Exploration of the sintering mechanisms of Ag and Al pastes.
8. Development of industrial technology of c-Si solar cells with high performance.
