Electromagnetic Imaging Research group

The Group of Electromagnetic Imaging Technology in IEE was established on the basis of the long term research on applied permanent magnetism and magnetic resonance imaging technology in the Institute.
With the development and cross-integration of electromagnetism with biomedicine, geological exploration and environmental engineering etc, electromagnetism plays an increasingly important role in human life and health, national environmental safety etc. Electromagnetic imaging is the cross research of electromagnetism with other related fields and disciplines and is a new method of electromagnetism research. The technology is based mainly on modern electromagnetic theory, test facilities and instruments with the application of information analysis and imaging technique to acquire and analyze the electromagnetic information so as to reveal the biological characteristics and structures£¬analyze and monitor geological structures and activities as well as monitor the environmental changes and protection.
        At present the Group of Electromagnetic Imaging Technology is undertaking the study of micro-biological electromagnetic imaging, magnetic resonance imaging, detection and applied research of electromagnetic characteristics and electromagnetic signal of geological environment, magnetic resonance impedance imaging technology etc. We have micro-biological electromagnetic imaging equipment, magnetic resonance imaging equipment, electromagnetic signal acquisition and analysis processing machines and have mastered related technology.
       Now the Group of Electromagnetic Imaging Technology has developed into a research team with 7 members expert in electrical engineering, biomedical, electronics, and other interdisciplinary research.
