Abstract: High⁃temperature oxide superconductors (HTS), discovered in the late of 1980s, have been expected to
be used extensively in electric industry because they have high Tc more than 90K and can work in liquid nitrogen.
In the last 20 years many efforts have been made in development of processing for a long conductor with high super⁃
conducting performance. The first generation of the HTS tapes relied on bismuth strontium calcium copper oxide has
been commercialized. The second generation HTS tape (2G) based on yttrium barium copper oxide, which has the
potential to be less expensive and to perform better, is being developed. Now the 2G wires with 1000m in length
can be made, and it indicated that one of the key bottlenecks of the commercialization of 2G tape was solved and
the large⁃scale applications of superconductivity may be realized in near future. Key words: high Tc superconductor; second generation HTS tape; coated conductor; BSCCO tape

Abstract: The double⁃ended power supply mode is one of the important modes for high⁃speed maglev train. In this
mode the length of the feeding cable cannot be ignored. Therefore, the mathematical model of the long stator linear
synchronous motor is more complicated. This paper proposes the accurate mathematical model for the train in the
double⁃ended power supply mode. The corresponding traction control strategy for this mode is also presented, which
contains position loop, speed loop and current loop. The control strategy also contains the feedforward and decou⁃
pling compensation methods. By comparing the operating results of the high⁃speed maglev train under different con⁃
trol conditions through Simulink simulation, the results show the correctness of the control strategy. In this paper,
the double⁃ended power supply control strategy will also be used in the hardware⁃in⁃loop real⁃time simulation plat⁃
form. The testing results show that the control strategy can fulfill the stable operation of the high⁃speed maglev
train.

Abstract: Dynamic load emulation for electric vehicle powertrain is an economical and efficient technology for the
testing, researching and developing of powertrain, battery and energy management strategy of electric vehicles in a
laboratory. But the problem that how to coordinate emulation accuracy and complexity of controller needs to be dealt
with for large⁃scale application. In this paper, the evaluation of engine dynamic test bench is refered to design the
tolerance⁃error boundary of dynamic load emulation. A proper controller is designed according to the boundary. Ex⁃
periments are conducted to test the designed controller. The experimental results show that the error tolerance con⁃
troller can meet the requirements of economic evaluation of electric vehicles and it is effective and simple.

capacitor charge balance

HONG Cui, LIN Wei⁃ming, GUO Xiao⁃jun
(School of Electric Engineering and Automation, Fuzhou University, Fuzhou 350116, China)
Abstract: To improve dynamic load response, a control strategy is proposed in this paper on the basis of capacitor
charge balance theory that is aiming at structural features of the tapped inductor synchronous rectification Buck con⁃
verter and the so called large ratio Buck converter. The strategy is realized by means of auxiliary circuit which chan⁃
ges the structure of large ratio converter main circuit while load is changing, then an adaptive inductor current
changing rate is achieved so that limitation of dynamic load response speed with fixed inductor current changing rate
of constant output voltage converter is covered effectively. Theoretical analysis indicates that the control strategy
proposed in this paper do has simple circuit structure and without the necessary of using magnetic element, and it
can accelerate the balance of output capacitor charge while load disturbance occurs with the using of appropriate
control logic so that to stabilize the output voltage. Fast load transient response and smaller overshoot and better sta⁃
bility are advantages of this strategy. Results of simulation and experiment are in agree with these conclusions.

Abstract: Probabilistic load flow calculation is an important tool to analyze the operating state of distribution net⁃
work. Currently the probabilistic load flow calculation of distribution network with batch distributed generation is fa⁃
cing to new problems. Differing from the large scale transmission network, there are strong correlations among load
characteristics, climatic conditions and other multiple variables of distribution network nodes. Aimed at this situa⁃
tion the calculation method of node injected power correlation is proposed. Then node injected power is decoupled
with the Cholesky decomposition, converting the distribution network probabilistic load flow calculation to the calcu⁃
lation with uncorrelated input random variables. Hence probabilistic load flow calculation method considering the
correlation among nodes for active distribution network is formed. The effectiveness and accuracy of the proposed
method are proven by the comparative tests in the part of modified IEEE 33⁃bus distribution network. The impacts
of node correlation on load flow probabilistic distribution are investigated by the proposed method.

Abstract: Single⁃phase to ground short is most liable to fault, but how to detect fault section is the largest technical
problem in distribution network. At first, the general changes of negative sequence current distributing is discussed
and theoretical basis is provided for single⁃phase to ground fault detection in distribution network in this paper. And
then a new fault selection method is proposed base on negative sequence current pilot differential in distribution net⁃
work. The method detects fault section through comparing the negative sequence current of line’s both ends, and
the method has great value of practical application. The principle is verified by PSCAD simulator, which has been
tested in dynamic power system model, and the results show that the method proposed in this paper is reliable and
accurate. The principle can neglect negative sequence current during system normal operation and is effective for all
types of neutral grounding mode in distribution network. Finally, the advantages and disadvantages of this method
are discussed, and the technology that need further studied is also proposed.

Power University, Baoding 071003, China)
Abstract: A novel inverter control strategy to enhance transient stability of grid⁃connected wind farm based on dou⁃
bly⁃fed induction generator (DFIG) is presented. Firstly, the dynamic model and control principle of DFIG are an⁃
alyzed. Secondly, adding transient voltage control strategy in the rotor side converter active control loop can dissi⁃
pate the system unbalancing energy to restrain the system oscillations by the variation of wind turbine speed. Adding
transient voltage control strategy in reactive control loop can provide fast reactive power compensation and support
the restoration and reconstruction of the grid voltage when fault occurred. The control strategy which can improve
the transient angle stability and transient voltage stability at the same time is put forward. Finally, a testing system
including a DFIG⁃based wind farm is realized using DigSILENT/ Power Factory, and the strategy validation and the
contribution to power system stability enhancement are verified by simulation.

Abstract: Similarity theory is a widely used application scientific method in experimental analysis. The scaling re⁃
lationship based on similarity theory is helpful to extrapolate the result from small⁃scale tests to large⁃scale experi⁃
ments. Firstly, the paper introduces the fundamental law of the similarity theory. Secondly, the scaling relationship
of power transformer under normal condition is derived. The dimension and magnitude of current are chosen as the
basic factor. At last, based on Ansoft simulation code, an original transformer of 180 turns and a scale model are
simulated. The electromagnetic field simulation results show that the magnetic field distributions of the two models
are the same. The magnetic strengths on the corresponding place of the two models satisfy the scaling relationship.
The result verifies the scaling relationship we derived. The scale model is helpful to design transformers and to in⁃
vestigate the power frequency characteristic which makes remarkable economic significance and value.
