(1. Giant Industrial Technology Co. Ltd. , Changzhou 200122, China;
2. Department of Automation, Shanghai University, Shanghai 200072, China)
Abstract: This paper analyzes the output line voltage waveform of least switching modulation, and in some cases,
soft switching three⁃phase PWM inverters are required, using double Fourier series expansion method to resolve the
PWM spectrum characteristics of the least switching modulation based on sawtooth wave carrier. The results indicate
that although it is an asymmetric modulation wave, and contains a DC component, but its essence is superimposing
zero sequence harmonic components and a DC component on a sine wave. These zero⁃sequence harmonics and DC
components cancel each other out in a three⁃phase inverter, and the output line voltage is still a sine wave. Owing
to the distorted modulation wave, the DC bus voltage utilization of inverter can be improved, and the difference of
harmonic amplitudes between the positive and negative sequence is smaller, moreover, it can effectively reduce har⁃
monic losses, improve waveform quality, and suppress harmonics torque ripples. After comparing the minimum
switching frequency modulation with SAPWM, it may be noted that the minimum switching frequency modulation
can only use unipolar modulation, the effective switching frequency is only half of the latter, so the current wave⁃
form quality is not as good as latter.

Abstract: A novel equivalent algorithm of three⁃level SVPWM strategy used in three⁃level NPC converter is pro⁃
posed to simplify the realization process of traditional three⁃level SVPWM strategy. The novel equivalent algorithm
is based on the relations of switching devices conduction times in three⁃level SVPWM and SPWM strategy. The no⁃
vel equivalent algorithm does not need trigonometric function, irrational operation and complex coordinate transfor⁃
mation. The implementation of this algorithm is very simple and it decreases calculation error which makes the fun⁃
damental component of the output waveforms closer to the theoretical value. Simulation and experiment results show
that the novel equivalent algorithm has a better DC voltage utilization and THD characteristics of output waveforms.

input current of bridgeless PFC when the input voltage is crossing zero line due to the boost inductor on the AC side
of the grid. Under the new control strategy input current distortion is avoided and high power factor is achieved.
The reasons of the distortion are discussed. The input current THD and PF expressions are derived. The perform⁃

Abstract: Smooth transition is required in micro⁃grid switching process based on IEEE1547􀆰 4. Under actual
conditions, the non⁃ideal factors influence the precise control of the system which is running. Especially currently
the static switch (Triac) is commonly used in grid system as the grid⁃connected switch, which is unable to achieve
the three⁃phase grid⁃connected inverter to be off simultaneously, causing large voltage and current impact on the
system, therefore the stable operation of the system is affected seriously and even causing off⁃grid mode conversion
to be failed. To solve the problem caused by the delay of the grid⁃connected switch in the switching process, by a⁃
nalysis of the reason of the voltage and current impact, a control strategy of off⁃grid based on current compensation
is proposed. Detailed analysis of the parameters affect on the system and the design basis are obtained. Simulation
and experiment results verify the correctness and feasibility of the proposed method.

Abstract: The increasing wind power penetration poses significant problems and challenge for the dispatch of elec⁃
tric power systems. Therefore, this paper uses demand response (DR) to utilize the resources of demand side as an
alternative of power supply. Firstly, two forms of demand response model are established. Secondly, the DR can
participate in unit commitment optimization model, a two⁃stage stochastic programming is applied to the model, and
a scenario based supply⁃demand stochastic dispatching for wind power integrated system includes price⁃fixing is for⁃
mulated. Finally, a tool combines priority list method with the Bacterial Colony Chemotaxis optimization is em⁃
ployed to solve this problem. Case studies are carried out on a system which consists 6 thermal generators and a
large wind farm. The simulation results demonstrate the feasibility and effectiveness of the proposed model.

Abstract: Considering the issues of static phase shift and power oscillation of the conventional IPC, according to
the analysis of the voltage injection interphase power controller, the voltage source converter is combined with Inter⁃
phase Power Controller with Voltage Injection. Dynamic controlled interphase power controller is constituted where
the phase shift transformer is replaced by the voltage source converter. DCIPC mathematical model is established
under dq0 coordinates. The control mode of the voltage source converter is described and analyzed. At the same
time, by using indirect current control strategy in the control of PWM modulation ratio M and phase angle δ, the in⁃
jection voltage of voltage source converter is changed smoothly and continuously, thus power and voltage on the line
with IPC are controlled. As an example of the system connecting two machine by DCIPC in line, the control of pow⁃
er and AC voltage on the line is verified.

Abstract: With the development of extra⁃high voltage power grid technology, more and more high⁃voltage and
large⁃capacity transformers have been used in power grid. In order to reduce the cost, more autotransformers are
used. Compared with traditional transformer, the primary and secondary sides of the autotransformers have not only
the coupling of magnetic field but also the connection of the electric circuit. Manufacturers still use the traditional
empirical formula to solve the electromagnetic problem of high voltage, large⁃capacity autotransformers. Therefore,
in order to research the electromagnetic problem of autotransformer, the field⁃circuit coupling mathematical model
for the autotransformer is derived and the FE program is made. In this paper, a 500kV EHV autotransformer is
taken as the example and the magnetic field distribution and winding current under the second side short⁃circuited
condition are analyzed by the FE program in Fortran and the commercial software to verify the accuracy of the pro⁃
posed mathematical model.

Abstract: The paper presents a proposal to ground the dc side of converter through the midpoint of clamping resis⁃
tors and discusses its advantages. By establishing the fault model, the characteristics of fault current are analyzed,
which imply that the fault current is formed by the stray capacitor current. The nearer the node is to the fault point,
the larger the transient fault current is. Fast Fourier transform (FFT) is applied to obtain the overall energy of tran⁃
sient capacitor current in the characteristic frequency band at each branch. By comparing the overall energy, the
fault section can be identified with the assistance of tree graph. Finally, the fault distance in fault section is calcu⁃
lated with the load current and the residual voltage at one terminal of the fault section. Simulations in the Simulink/
Matlab verify the effectiveness of the algorithm. Physical simulation experiments are carried out, which verify the
algorithm further.

converter and optimization design
YUAN Yi⁃sheng, ZHU Ben⁃yu, ZHANG Wei⁃ping, PENG Chun⁃hua
(College of Electrical and Electronics Engineering, East China Jiaotong University, Nanchang 330013, China)
Abstract: A zero⁃current⁃switching resonant converter is proposed with a voltage⁃doubling structure on the seconda⁃
ry side. The energy is transferred by resonance between the voltage⁃doubling capacitance and the leakage inductor.
The converter adopts frequency⁃modulating method with switching frequency less than resonant frequency. All pow⁃
er switches and diodes can achieve ZCS. Voltage stresses on transistors are up to the structure on primary side,
while voltage stresses on diodes are output voltage. Operation modes are elaborated. The relation among voltage⁃
gain and frequency ratio m, magnetizing inductance/ leakage inductor ratio h and quality factor Q, is derived. The
turns of the secondary⁃side winding are half of that in a traditional push⁃pull converter. Taking an inverter applied
in a vehicle for example, an optimal design method is deduced. At last,a 20 ~28V input/600W inverter prototype
is built. The test waveforms and a high efficiency verifies the feasibility of the converter and optimal designing.

Abstract: The operation theory of the primary side regulation (PSR) high power factor (PF) critical conduction
mode (CRM) flyback LED driver without optocoupler is analyzed in this paper. Through analyzing the operation
theory of traditional PSR high PFC CRM flyback LED driver, the relationship between input voltage and the error
output current is given. In order to improve the output current accuracy of PSR high PF CRM flyback LED driver,
a novel high accuracy high power factor CRM PSR flyback LED driver is proposed. By introducing the control with
input voltage feed⁃forward to eliminate the influence of the input voltage to the output current accuracy of the LED
driver, high accuracy high power factor PSR CRM flyback LED driver can be achieved. So that the use of primary
side regulation on LED driver is more feasible. Finally, the experimental results of traditional and proposed PSR
high PFC CRM flyback LED driver verify the correctness of the theoretical derivation.

Abstract: The Miller plateau of IGBT gate voltage, as an important precursor of failure monitoring, has a close re⁃
lationship with junction temperature. As a result, the accurate measure of time delay of Miller plateau in gate volt⁃
age is vital to the online detecting of IGBT failure. A complete measurement system has been set up in this paper.
Firstly, the Miller plateau was converted to double pulse by using a differential and comparator circuit based on the
three⁃stage feature of gate voltage. Secondly, the time interval between the double pulse was measured accurately
based on carry delay chain in FPGA. In this paper, a directly instantiated method of logic element (LE) was a⁃
dopted to achieve a carry chain. The error caused by the metastable state problem and the key paths time delay
problem were analyzed. The measurement system has achieved 500ps precision which is verified by simulation and
experiments.
