of Sciences, Beijing 100049, China)
Abstract: Converters have been widely used in motor driving systems. However, the traditional power theory does
not work well at evaluating motor efficiency under the non⁃sinusoidal situations. So the IRP theory and IEEE Std
1459⁃2010, which are popular in the field of describe the power phenomenon under the non⁃sinusoidal situations,
are introduced. In this paper, a new motor simulation model with iron losses has been proposed based on mathemat⁃
ical analysis on motors. Then a typical PWM fed motor system has been built on the base of the proposed motor
simulation model with iron losses above. The system is used as an example, with which the power phenomenon has
been researched by the methods in IRP theory and IEEE Std 1459⁃2010. The results show that the motor efficiency
can be evaluated accurately by using both IRP theory and IEEE Std 1459⁃2010. However, IEEE Std 1459⁃2010 is
more suitable for evaluating apparent power then IRP theory, and IRP theory works more better then IEEE Std
1459⁃2010 in reactive power evaluation.

Abstract: Dual active bridge (DAB) DC⁃DC converter can achieve soft switching without external circuits, which
leads to high efficiency. It can transfer large power with traditional pure phase shift modulation, but can not achieve
soft switching at light load range. Phase⁃shift with duty cycle modulation can realize the soft switch in the whole
power range, but the maximum transmission power decreases as the duty ratio decreases which is obvious when duty
cycle is small. This paper studies soft switching characteristics of DAB and proposes an optimal control method
which combines the advantages of two kinds of modulation methods. In this control method, flexible smooth switc⁃
hing can be realized, namely realizing soft switching in full power range and ensuring the maximum transmission
power at the same time. Finally, the control method is verified by a 12kW prototype, the experiment results show
that the control method is feasible.

Abstract: Based on the analysis of the induction motor iron loss resistance, static α⁃β axis is derived under the
consideration of iron loss and parallel equivalent circuit of asynchronous motor, and the static model of the induc⁃
tion motor considering iron loss is established. Under the static model, the model of the influence of iron loss of mo⁃
tor vector control is analyzed. Meanwhile, the equivalent circuit of rotating coordinate system of induction motor in
parallel considering iron loss is established. Moreover, the equivalent circuit is simplified in steady state. In rota⁃
ting coordinate analysis, the influence of iron loss on vector control is considered. Furthermore, through the Mat⁃
lab/ Simulink, the proposed analysis is verified by simulation results. To further improve the control precision and
verify the theoretical analysis, an experiment is carried out based on the Hybrid Power CRH Train Ground Test
Platform and the control center of TMS320F28335. This research will improve the control precision and provides re⁃
liable basis for further study of asynchronous motor optimal flux control.

Nonlinear torque control based on prediction of wind speed in wind turbine
WANG Xiao⁃dong, LI Huai⁃qing, LIU Ying⁃ming, XIE Hong⁃fang
(Department of Electric Engineering, Shenyang University of Technology, Shenyang 110023, China)
Abstract: Torque control in the wind turbine determines directly the effect of the maximum power point tracking,
and it has a significant effect on fatigue load in the drive train. In this paper, a nonlinear torque controller is de⁃
signed to control torque because of wind disturbance and obvious nonlinearity in the drive train. By considering the
flexibility of drive train case, the maximum power point tracking and reducing of load are realized. In FAST soft⁃
ware, it is simulated for a 5MW wind turbine, and the results illustrate that the effect of the maximum power point
tracking and reducing of load is better when using nonlinear controller than the effect of using PI.

natural circulation inner eaporative cooling system in wind turbines
LI Wang, WANG Hai⁃feng, GU Guo⁃biao
(Institute of Electrical Engineering, Chinese Academy of Sciences, Beijing 100190, China)
Abstract: Natural circulation inner evaporative cooling system (IECS) has the advantage of self⁃circulation without
pump, high cooling efficiency, safe and reliable operation, basically maintenance free, etc. It is very suitable for
application in wind turbines. Due to the special structure of the wind turbine, its IECS needs to use parallel chan⁃
nels with different vertical heights. In this structure, each channel has different operation parameters, coupling with
each other and influencing each other, induces instability problem of the system, and it is very detrimental for the
safe operation of the generator. In this paper, based on one⁃dimensional homogeneous model, the model of multi⁃
channel parallel system is established and the flow driving force and flow resistance balance equations are deduced.
Based on the balance equations, static stability and its parameters effect of a three channel system are analyzed u⁃
sing the static bifurcation theory and DERPAR numerical analysis method. This can provide theoretical basis for the
structure design of the IECS in wind turbines. Key words: wind power generation; inner evaporative cooling; inclined parallel channels; two phase flow instabili⁃

Abstract: When using the extended Kalman filter to estimate the electric vehicle lithium⁃ion power battery state of
charge (SOC), the uncertainty of the system noise can cause algorithm convergence, and the algorithm of lineariza⁃
tion will be much affected by the model. In order to solve the two problems, this paper uses the improved Sage⁃Hu⁃
sa adaptive unscented Kalman filters to dynamically estimate the multiple lithium battery SOC. Simulation results
show that compared with the EKF, the improved Sage⁃Husa adaptive Kalman filters can improve the accuracy of the
SOC estimation, and can in real⁃time correct SOC estimation error caused by tiny model error online, and the oper⁃
ation condition of the real time simulation proved that the algorithm is more applicable to dynamic multiple lithium
battery SOC estimate. Key words: multivariate lithium⁃ion; state of charge; state estimation; adaptive; UKF; Sage⁃Husa

(Institute of Electrical Engineering, Chinese Academy of Sciences, Beijing 100190, China)
Abstract: HVDC is developing remarkably in our country in recent years and the research on HVDC has also be⁃
comes a main point. The changes of temperature and cooling situation have great influences on performance and
working life of HVDC valve, however, the accurate measurement is restricted by the complexity of the module. Un⁃
der this circumstance this essay comes up with a modified equivalent circuit model based on Cauer model with com⁃
bining thermal resistance of valve and radiator. The improved model analyzes the thermal impendence of Cu, Mo,
W, Si and the normal radiator. With adding time⁃varying impendence of the radiator, the calculation of the new
model shows that the result is close to actual value.

Abstract: Firstly, this paper introduces the harmonic mathematical model of the major components in the AC trans⁃
mission system. The Ward multi⁃terminal equivalence method was used to get the node admittance matrix of the ac⁃
cess points with DC link in the MIDC system. With the known current spectrum, the harmonic voltages of the ac⁃
cess points with DC link can be calculated. At last the THDu of the access points with DC link can be counted out.
The 500kV voltage level network in Shanghai grid was made in equavalent based on the harmonic models. Then the
ranges of the total harmonic distortion of voltage (THDu ) for the access points with DC link were calculated. The
conclusion based on the analysis is that the harmonic interaction between the DC access points of the multi⁃infeed
DC system in Shanghai district is very weak. The THDu of the access point with DC link is mainly effected by the
harmonics fed by the DC circuit linked to the access point.

Abstract: Based on the smoothing reactor model with a square laminated frame outside air⁃core winding, the three⁃
dimensional transient electromagnetic field analysis method for modeling laminated magnetic structure under AC⁃DC
hybrid excitation is investigated. Both the local magnetic flux density of square laminated frame and the normal
leakage field on the surface of exciting coils are examined. A simplified calculation method for magnetization loss of
the laminated frame under the hybrid excitation is proposed in this paper, which is suitable for engineering applica⁃
tions. In this method, the local variations of loss in the laminated frame due to the inhomogeneous distribution of
the biased magnetic field can be considered by assigning the corresponding loss curves for the divided sub⁃domains.
The validities of magnetic field analysis method and the proposed loss calculation method are verified by comparing
calculation and experiment results. These have guiding significance for the design of smoothing reactor under AC⁃
DC hybrid exciting condition.

Diagnosis of insulation condition of transformers by using
depolarization energy spectrum
HUANG Yun⁃cheng, CAI Jin⁃ding
(College of Electrical Engineering and Automation, Fuzhou University, Fuzhou 350108, China)
Abstract: In recent years, the polarization/ depolarization current method (PDC) as a non⁃destructive testing
method for power transformer insulation condition has been widely used, but the study of characteristics which are
extracted from PDC is still in a preliminary stage. In this paper, the depolarization energy spectrum based on the
time⁃domain dielectric spectroscopy theory was proposed, and the two important characteristics which are extracted
from depolarization energy spectrum are peak energy and dominant time constant. Then, the extended Debye model
equivalent circuit simulation model was built to study the relationship between the two characteristics with insulation
condition, and the two characteristics were analyzed to find the intrinsic link with the equivalent circuit parameters
which could reflect the internal structure of the insulation. The simulation results show that extraction of the charac⁃
teristics is not affected under different polarization voltages. With the deterioration of the insulation condition, the
depolarizing line moves to the upper left, and the peak energy and the dominant time constant can effectively, intu⁃
itionally and accurately diagnose the insulation condition of transformer. The equivalent circuit parameters has a
distinct intrinsic link with the dominant time constant and peak energy, and can be an aid in the assessment of in⁃
sulation condition of transformers.

Abstract: For the problem of difficult to obtain power supply in monitoring the on⁃line state parameters of high⁃volt⁃
age equipment, a new combined power supply system which combines high⁃voltage draw⁃out coil and low⁃voltage
artificial light source is designed, taking an on⁃line temperature monitoring device based on ANT wireless communi⁃
cation as the object. An artificial light is used as back up supply in this system to solve the problem of the coil’s
dead zone. Iron⁃based nanocrystalline alloy which is highly magnetic conductive material is used as the core of the
draw⁃out coil. A right secondary winding which can match the design parameters is determined by theoretical calcu⁃
lation and simulation. The shortcoming of coil in saturation with high current can be avoided by incoming bleeder
circuit. The experiment results show that the back device can be supplied normally by the power supply system
when bus current varies from 0 to 1000A, in which the starting current of draw⁃out coil is 1􀆰 49A, and the coil will
not reach saturation when bus current is 1000A.

Abstract: The false tripping of low⁃voltage releases in distribution network has happened several times and custom⁃
ers have endured great load loss, but the corresponding configuration strategy of low⁃voltage release has not been
put forward. In this paper, the working principle of low⁃voltage release is analyzed, and the factors (such as volt⁃
age fluctuation, over voltage, harmonic and under frequency)that can cause false tripping of low⁃voltage release are
summarized. Secondly, the voltage sag test platform and procedure are designed based on the existing Chinese Na⁃

test, the tripping area, fuzzy area and no tripping area of GXQ⁃M low⁃voltage release are obtained and analyzed. At
last, combined with the test results, the configuration strategy of low⁃voltage release is put forward from the per⁃
spective of manufacturers, customers and utility companies, and this paper also recommends the existing Chinese
